"Area Artists Put On Display."
Sitting in a yellow lawn chair under a shady tree on the Noblesville Courthouse
Square Saturday, Russ Wagoner shared his art, and the love of it, with about
5,000 visitors to an art show sponsored by the Noblesville Cultural Arts
Commission.
Randall Scott Harden served as the event coordinator as well as a featured
artist. Other featured artists included J. Rodney Reveal, an original water -
color painter who has received many awards throughout his career;
Beth A. Forst, a painter; and Fishers photographer JD Nolan.
"We see ourselves to assist existing and future artistic efforts in the
community," says Mary Sue Rowland. The commission's purpose is to
promote cultural events that emphasize music, art, literature, drama, and
dance performed by and for the Noblesville community to enhance the overall
quality of life. Just last week, the arts commission sponsored a week of
cultural events, including performances of Shakespeare at the high school
and in Seminary Park.
